In 2015 Future Food commenced discussion with the Mall Plaza Group to work with their Mall development teams to review the food and beverage offers in several of their existing malls in Chile and Peru.   The review was the first stage in a multi-phase approach that would develop a Food and Hospitality Strategy for each of the nominated malls ( In Chile, Mall Plaza Santiago, Mall Plaza Tobalaba, Mall Plaza Oeste and in Peru, Mall Plaza Cayma, Mall Plaza Comas and Mall Plaza Bellavista).

Future Food Brief was clear. It was to provide a strategic road map for each mall to strengthen and maximise the food and beverage opportunity for each location.  The remix included a exit strategy for non or underperforming food retailers, a elevation focus to across all cuisine categories, new national and international food brands and at all times ensure that the diversity of mix address the proximity to entertainment and leisure activities.   Food and hospitality as growth category is a key driver in Mall Plaza’s strategy to move towards Lifestyle Malls, thereby offering a strong point of differenced from their competitors and at the same time delivering positive experiences and maximising spend, sales and asset value.
