Due to the recent closure of The Hunter Connection, Future Food was engaged by Brookfield Properties in a multi-stage consultancy to inform the Food & Hospitality strategy for the Wynyard Food Hall (WFH). 

The initial stages were aimed at providing recommendations for opportunities to increase F&B exposure for the WFH and to drive increased footfall to the precinct in light of the closure. Additionally, Future Food took a long term strategic approach toward the future of food and hospitality at WFH in order to develop a clear direction for the precinct when the Hunter Connection re-opens in 2032. 

In our Trade Area Review, Future Food took a deep dive into the competitive landscape and provided a detailed gap analysis and competitor profile report which identified some of the key precincts, their attributes and the factors which may be contributing to the customer leakage occurring at the WFH. 

Additionally, the performance of all F&B operators within the WFH were assessed and provided with recommendations on how to maximise their opportunity within the precinct.
