12 Apostles Visitor Centre

Victoria, Australia

Future Food was appointed to collaborate on the development of the 12 Apostles Visitor Precinct alongside the Grimshaw Architects team, under the guidance of Development Victoria.

Throughout the design development phase, Future Food undertook five stages of work to seamlessly integrate food and hospitality within the built environment, contributing to the delivery of a world-class tourist destination experience.

We maintained close collaboration with Grimshaw and partner consultants, actively reviewing and offering feedback on the design, providing detailed suggestions to enhance food and hospitality offerings within the new tourism precinct, including establishing benchmarks for comparative analysis.

In our second stage, we analysed the food and hospitality journey along the Great Ocean Road to provide local context, identifying gaps, evaluating competition, and aligning with future tourism precinct demographic segments (user groups).

Future Food quantified the optimal and sustainable market potential (F&B Revenue), developed the vision, positioning, and created indicative F&B concepts tailored to meet the needs of customer segments and enhance the overall customer experience.

During our final stage, we collaborated with Grimshaw on design reviews to optimise the Visitor Centre precinct, offering feedback specifically on the food and hospitality design aspects.
