The Final Word from Future Food for 2017

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Future Food

What an exciting time to be in the food, retail and hospitality industries. Food and hospitality has continued to grow in all segments this year and by taking a glance at 2017's data it shows no sign of slowing down. Food, regardless of disruptions caused by online expansion, is becoming a mainstay component of high street shopping strips, shopping malls and retail precincts around the globe. Our shopping centres, restaurants and cafes continue to become more beautiful and the range of offers, from roof top cocktail bars to floating pontoons on the river and all the speciality food events in between, has developed exponentially this year. It is all about delivering authentic and memorable experiences in beautiful spaces and ensuring that all the components and touch points that make up the experience are considered and are customer-centric.

As we close on 2017 and reflect on the wonder projects we are working on globally (Australia, China, Korea, Hungary, Ireland, New Zealand, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia and many more) we see one trend, the importance of food and hospitality in shaping the success of a project. Food and hospitality is pivotal in creating a genuine and sustainable point of difference for a project. Why? Because food and beverage concepts and best practice operators can deliver a sense of uniqueness to a space that cannot be simply replicated or accessed via technology. This has been proven time and time again when we look at projects such as The Grounds Of Alexandria, Sydney or the new Eataly World, Bologna.

'Food IS The Future', how we use it to benefit our project’s business success, maximise customer satisfaction and repeat patronage all depends on how it is masterplanned, executed and managed. Future Food has over 40 years experience in applying such specialist consultancy skills to our projects around the world and we cannot wait to continue delivering this success in 2018. Thanks to Future Food's dedicated team of food and hospitality experts, I have no doubt the years to come are going to continue to be filled with creating world-class, innovative and forward-thinking food and hospitality precincts for any type of space.

To our clients and associates, thank you for another bumper year. May 2018 be a year full of success for each one of you.

From myself and all the team at Future Food, best wishes of the Season.

Kind regards,
