JUNE 2026 | MELBOURNE, VICTORIA
Trinity College Residential Catering RFT, University of Melbourne
Trinity College is the oldest residential college at the University of Melbourne, established in 1872. The College is committed to providing a world-class collegiate education within a residential setting, underpinned by its values as articulated in the Trinity 2030 Strategic Plan. The College seeks a catering partner who deeply understands and actively supports these values, and who is committed to growing alongside the College as a genuine partner in the residential experience.
Trinity College, University of Melbourne, invites suitably qualified catering service providers to submit a formal proposal for the full provision of catering services across its residential and commercial operations. This Request for Tender (RFT) has been prepared in consultation with Future Food, the College's independent catering consultant, and reflects a comprehensive review of the College's current and future catering needs.
A core component of the residential student experience is the catering offer that will start and end their day on a high note. The food and friendly hospitality should form a welcoming and seamless part of their day, allowing them to focus on their studies and learning.
21 residential meals per week (during semester)
Dining hall and café operation 7 days a week (during semester)
approx 450-600pax per meal
Contract to commence 1 January 2027
The Vision
The dining hall is the heart of Trinity College
- the fabric of community life.
Students eat together, build lasting relationships and experience the traditions that define college life. Alumni consistently reflect on shared moments in the dining hall as central to their Trinity experience. The dining environment is striking, beautiful and symbolic of the College's heritage and ambitions. The successful catering partner must understand that their role extends well beyond the provision of meals; they are a custodian of community.
Submissions for this RFT must be received by 5pm Thursday 2 July 2026.
