Suttons Beach Pavilion Redevelopment Project

The Suttons Beach Public Space project is set to revitalise Suttons Beach Park in Redcliffe, with the goal of returning this iconic destination to community use and creating lasting memories for a new generation. Central to this transformation is the redevelopment of the Suttons Beach Pavilion. With a rich history dating back to 1906, the site is now poised for a fresh, modern approach.

Following extensive community consultation and a recent national architectural competition, Lahznimmo Architects and Plummer & Smith were awarded the design for the new pavilion and surrounding parkland, which promises to be both welcoming and inclusive.

The vision for Suttons Beach Pavilion is to feature a dynamic mix of food and beverage concepts across both the ground floor and level one, offering a range of experiences, price points, and service styles.

With detailed design slated for completion in Q2 2025 and construction beginning in Q3 2025, we are now seeking interest from food and beverage operators and hospitality groups eager to seize new business opportunities. The venue is scheduled for practical completion and warm shell handover in late 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Redcliffe community.

This expression of interest campaign is now closed.

WHAT WE NEED!

Suttons Beach Pavilion presents a unique opportunity to introduce three complementary food and beverage concepts on the foreshore. Together, these outlets will provide a variety of dining options that are perfectly suited to the beachfront location, ensuring both immediate appeal and long-term success.

It is crucial that the concepts within Suttons Beach Pavilion work harmoniously, fostering a cohesive and dynamic atmosphere. Together these venues should offer activation across the day, with some trading from early morning and others till late evening—catering to a wide range of price points, service levels, and cuisines to engage the diverse user groups in the area.

In the ensuing Request For Tender process, we will be eager to hear from proponents about the types of concepts they feel would be best suited to this location, with particular focus on the individual tenancies being considered.

Opportunity will exist for experienced food and hospitality operators to lease one, two, or all three locations within the precinct. These opportunities can be structured as individual leases for each tenancy or as a single ground lease for the entire precinct. City of Moreton Bay is open to all options and is focused on identifying the best solution for this asset through the formal RFT process.
